Line of Events
Follows a team of British intelligence agents who become a dumping ground for MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes. Deep in the credits under “Camera Trainees” is Alfie Oldman, Gary Oldman’s son. He worked on several films Gary acted in. Also starring in Graham Norton and other films: Kristin Scott Thomas/George Takei/Claudia Winkleman/Jamie Oliver/First Aid Kit (2022). Ignore most of the criticism here; either they didn’t watch long enough to understand what was going on or they weren’t smart enough. If you liked the books, you’ll probably enjoy this, even if the characters weren’t quite what I imagined. This isn’t a show to watch if you want a lot of action (the first episode can be misleading). This is not a show to watch if you want a handsome hero to ride off into the sunset with the girl (swap the genders, whichever you like). This is a show to watch if you want great characters and a great story.
